The Positives and Negatives of Diet Pills

Hoodia Ultra 2000 Time Release HIGH POTENCY Weight loss pills Appetite Suppressant diet pills 60,000 mg of Hoodia per bottleDiet pills are such a hit today for so many reasons, one of which is the huge variety of diet pills available in the market.

However, not all diet pills can work wonders in your figure. Before anything else, there are things to consider before relying on one.

1) Busy as a bee.

The fast standard of living of an individual can affect one’s eating habit. Today, many people are getting heavier, that is why they try to look for alternative ways aside from exercising and dieting the natural way.

Many people simply do not have enough time to exercise anymore because they are either too busy at work or they are much occupied in taking care of their families.

Hence, they opt for diet pills. They are the fastest ways to loose weight. If you are the kind of person who wants to see results fast and gets bored with a healthy weight reduction plan, diet pill is the thing for you.

2) Loosing pounds while eating.

More people patronize diet pills because it is very convenient. Most people cannot stop eating or cannot change their food preference. The pills can only help you loose weight.

3) The doctor is in.

Given these information on diet pills, it is better to consult your doctor first before taking anything into your body. Follow the doctors’ prescription. Do not get excited and too much in a hurry by taking more than the number of pills prescribed to you.
If you are under other medications, make sure to ask your doctor if it is ok to take the diet pill with it. This is to prevent “drug mix up” because some may cause you trouble if the medicines simply do not go together.

4) Some negative effects.

Such pills could sometimes affect your body in a negative way. It can affect your metabolism and your health in general. There are negative effects from the mildest to the serious ones. Such effects are diarrhea, insomnia, palpitating, hypertension and heart disease and a whole lot more.

Some studies say that some people could also become immune with the diet pill. In other words, after half a year of taking the diet pill, they start to gain weight again.

5) Drug dependency

Diet pills are really designed to combat obesity, but some people just become addicted to it. Even doctors stick to some guidelines when prescribing them. They also base it on your health history and if you used to be an alcoholic or drug dependent.

It is better to think more than twice if you really need one. Who knows you might loose those extra pounds on your own.

6) Look for natural ingredients.

Check the ingredients of the diet pill. Some contains chemicals and unsafe products which can give you bad side effects. Choose diet pills which contain natural ingredients. It can be extract from plants, fruits, vegetables and flowers.

7) Friends are friends.

Do not self medicate or rely on what your friends use. What is good for other may simply not be good for you. They are your friends, but not your doctor! It is not just some simple cosmetic, a shoe or a bag to go with the color of your dress that you and your friends can decide on. Diet pills are much complex than those things.

8) Pirated stuff

Make sure you are buying the real thing. Some retailers might be selling imitation products. You do not know what it contains and what it can do to you.

People should keep in mind that exercising and natural way of dieting still is the best of all. Change your choice of lifestyle little by little until you get used to it and find ways to strengthen your self-discipline.

How Long Have You Been Dieting Without Results?

How long have you been torturing yourself with bad food and not enough of it without losing the weight you wanted to? Or much more slowly than anticipated?

It sucks doesn't it! Well let me tell you, its not because you are stupid, or because you have the self-discipline of a 2 year old, or because you are destined by the gods to be fat. No, its because no one really knows what they are doing including all of the people that have written books.

Have you ever noticed who is writing these dieting books. Well let me tell you who they aren't. They are not doctors that specialize in the human body's metabolism. They are not exercise or nutrition experts who have done and taken part in the latest and most exciting research, and they are not qualified to make the claims that they do. It really is a whole lot of quackery or in other words, bad science.

Deadline Fitness: Tone Up and Slim Down When Every Minute CountsSo let me give you a few quick pointers on losing weight. First you need to understand that it is simple math dealing with inputs, or the food you eat, and outputs or the calories that you burn and the food and water that you eliminate. If you input more than you output you are going to gain weight, simple as that. And if you output more than you input you are going to lose weight there is no question about it. So basically there are several different ways to affect these variables in order to achieve success. One is input less, or eat less and this can be either in terms of mass or in terms of total calorie content. Another option is to output more, that is burn more calories off during the day. The obvious application is to exercise and the more exercise you do both in terms of strain and in terms of time the more calories you will lose. There is also something called the basal metabolic rate or BMR.

The BMR is a function of genetics and environment. If you have fat parents chances are that you are going to struggle with obesity and have a lower than average BMR. Chances are also though that you learned inactivity and poor dieting choices from your family of origin which are environmental factors. You burn more calories at rest if it is cold and as a function of how much you exercise. If you exercise consistently and in a way that gives you a good work out than you will have a higher resting metabolic rate. If you don't than it will be much lower. It is also a function of the amount of certain tissue that you have that burns energy. The best example of this is muscle which is a highly energy needy tissue.

Diet Suggestions For Lowering Cholesterol Levels

Controlling Cholesterol For Dummies (For Dummies (Health & Fitness))We all have cholesterol whether we like it or not as it plays an important role in our bodies. However, having high cholesterol is not good and should be lowered. Regardless of how we get it, lowering high cholesterol is always a good idea. We get cholesterol in two ways, through our body and mainly the liver. Every day, our bodies produce amounts of cholesterol that we don’t need. Animal foods like eggs, poultry, meat, seafood and milk contain a lot of cholesterol, which add to the levels we produce naturally.
"The safest foods are vegetables, seeds, nuts and fruits, as these do not encourage further production of cholesterol."

Lowering cholesterol requires finding the right diet for you and sticking to it. The main source for cholesterol is saturated fatty acids. This makes your blood cholesterol rise abruptly and could cause heart disease. Trans fat also contributes to raising your blood cholesterol level. But diet can beat it all.

The American Heart Association has recommended that the limit for your daily cholesterol should be no more that 300 milligrams. If your diet is maintained properly you will dramatically lower your cholesterol.

Diet plays a vital role in lowering cholesterol. Choosing your food is the best way to start. Choose foods that contain low saturated fat. Saturated fat can be found in foods from animals, such as poultry, meat, lard and vegetable oils like palm oil, coconut and palm kernel.

The best diet would be choosing foods which are low in saturated fat. The solution to this is choosing foods that are rich in fiber such as vegetables, fruits and grains. They do not add cholesterol to your body but they help you maintain a healthy diet. Choose the foods that are low in cholesterol.

Did you know that the dietary cholesterol can still raise your blood cholesterol level? The answer is yes, although it is not that high in saturated fat

Avoid foods that come from animals. These types of foods are the richest in saturated fat and they are not recommended for high daily intake. You can supplement your diet with the help of lecithin. This is helpful and it contains phosphatidyl choline which is able to increase the solubility of the cholesterol in your body and allows the fatty deposits in your bloodstream to break down.

Nordic Naturals - Omega 3-6-9 Junior Lemon, 180 softgelsYour diet should be absolutely free from oily foods, which only contain minimal amounts of fatty acid. Choose foods that are rich in omega-3 and omega-6. This is important in normalizing your blood cholesterol level and can help you maintain good health. Increasing your dietary fiber can be very helpful because it can neutralize the excess bile acids in the bowel. Eat fiber rich foods instead of greasy foods.

Observing this diet is a must because your cholesterol is something you should maintain and watch out for in order to stay healthy, fit, and free from heart disease. Lowering cholesterol can be observed and achieved by choosing the foods you eat.

If you are suffering with high cholesterol, you should consult your primary care physician first before making any changes in your diet.

Dietary Loss Supplement Weight Controversy

Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding: The Complete A-Z Book on Muscle BuildingIn the world of bodybuilding, the dietary loss supplement weight controversy is huge. If you are serious about bodybuilding, this is an issue that you cannot avoid - especially if you have body fat. So, what is the deal with the dietary loss supplement weight controversy?

In recent years, many weight loss dietary supplements have been pulled off of store shelves by the FDA. It seems that they have horrendous side effects, such as heart attacks, strokes, and liver damage. But weight loss is still important in the bodybuilding world, so what should you do?

You should use the most miraculous body building supplement known to man - creatine. Creatine has an incredible number of benefits, it is safe, and it is highly recommended by doctors, scientists, and bodybuilding experts - and even weight loss experts these days.

Creatine Monohydrate - 100% Pure Powder 2.2 lbsIt is amazing that there are still so many different dietary loss supplement weight products out there being used by bodybuilders - most of which do not work, and others of which are absolutely dangerous - when we have creatine which is highly approved of, incredibly effective, easily affordable, and simply proven to work.

Creatine occurs naturally in the body, and it consists of three amino acids, which include Methionine, Arginine, and Glycine. Once in the liver, these three amino acids are combined, and they produce creatine.

What scientists have found is that when you have plenty of creatine in your system, your muscles use more adenosine triphosphate during exercise. This is important, because this is what gives the muscles energy to perform the exercises that you are doing. The more creatine you have in your system, the more ATP you have, and the more exercises you can do.

Creatine is so effective in the process of building muscles that it has been deemed the legal steroid - even though it isn't actually a steroid. Creatine is perfectly safe, and it does not change your estrogen or testosterone levels in any way.

In terms of weight loss, creatine is effective in that it has been proven to burn off excess fat while building lean muscle mass. This happens very easily. The idea is to absolutely drench your muscles with creatine, by taking a creatine supplement. This in turn will attract water to those muscles. When this happens, the muscles must expand, which makes them bigger.

Bigger muscles require more energy than smaller muscles. When they cannot find that excess energy anywhere else, the muscles will start using stored body fat for energy. Note that exercise is still required; however this is incredibly beneficial for body builders, and in recent years has settled the great dietary loss supplement weight controversy.

Diet Pills: Weight Loss or Cash Lost?

Weight loss is a such a big issue among women all over the world today. Blame it on the close-to-skeletal look that models and celebrities parade on TV, magazines, the Internet, and in those gigantic billboards. Surrounded by celebrities that were already anointed and crowned by media as “Women with the Perfect Figure,” it is no wonder that ordinary women who look up to these “icons” of female beauty are caught up in the image that is projected and marketed almost on a daily basis. It is as if the brains of ordinary women were programmed to think that being thin is the “in thing.” Due to the marketing and advertising blitz, these women have been indoctrinated to desperately seek out the thousand and one ways to shed those “flabbies.” Many women have become so crazy about losing weight that they will stop at nothing just to achieve the skinny look that have been idealized by their respective celebrity idols.

Weight Watchers Mint Patty, 3.25-Ounce Peg Bags (Pack of 5)As any weight watcher would tell you, losing weight is not an easy task unless you have magical powers like Wonder Woman. To the relief of millions of women, there are numerous popular diet pills that are readily available in the market. It is just so easy to grab one. But are these diet pills really as effective and safe, as advertised?

At present, there are two kinds of diet pills: weight loss supplements and weight loss medications. Weight loss medications are pills that are only prescribed by certified physicians. Weight loss supplements on the other hand are the popular diet pills which are available over the counter (OTC). Diet pills that range from slimming tea to herbal medicines and promises instant weight loss.

Worst Pills, Best PillsXenical, Didrex and Ionamin are some of the best selling diet pills in the market today, and many more are coming. There's even a new weight loss pill which will be out next year that based on clinical trials, and according to scientists. the drug looks promising for weight loss fanatics. The drug is called "rimonabant", which will be released in the market under the brand name Acomplia. According to research, the said drug will help the user to control food intake.

Problems may surely arise once you start taking diet pills without your physician's go signal. If you are one who believes and wants to try weight loss supplements, make sure you know all the facts before taking them. Apparently, some women used these so-called miracle cures even if they knew that these drugs had uncomfortable side effects. Somehow, their desperation and drive to achieve the thin, supermodel look was strong enough to rule them and, eventually, allowed them to ignore the side effects and other potential harm that may arise by using these so-called miracle slimming medications.

Even some of the popular, over-the-counter diet pills that are easily accessible are not necessarily safe to use. Most of these easy-to-access pills do not contain enough information on the packaging. Moreover, some of these products fail to provide facts on how the product can supposedly help you lose weight. This overpowering desire to lose weight can actually lead to possible health risks, and worse, even death.
There have been reports of sleeping problems, gastrointestinal bleeding and skin reactions from people who have tried OTC diet pills. It is common knowledge that there are prominent personalities who became victims of unprescribed medications and suffered harsh consequences.

If you are still itching to try diet pills, there are is certainly a lot to choose from. But have you ever noticed that some of these pills have specifically noted on their packagings that the product is only effective when combined with exercise and healthy diet? Without realizing it, you eat less and exercise more, thus you really lose those unwanted pounds. More often than not, these pills are really expensive. And it should not surprise you to find out that after using these products, you've actually lost more money than weight!

Doctors will agree that a lifestyle change, regular exercise, and healthy eating is still the best health and body slimming regimen. So, the next time you think about popping those pills, remember this:

Not all products advertised as the “best weight loss pill” is actually best for your health. Achieving high standards of beauty is, to some, worth the months of starvation, constant exercise, and thousands of dollars spent on diet pills. But is it really worth it?

Maybe it is high time for women to realize that beauty is not always what can be seen by the naked eye. And that having a body worthy of an FHM or Cosmopolitan cover may not always be a woman's best asset.

Are Chinese Diet Teas Safe?

Bojenmi Chinese Diet Tea to Support Weight Control - 20 Bags Per BoxChinese teas have long been considered great for dieters. In fact, many companies have manufactured and distributed these products labeled “Chinese diet tea” for those who wish to lose weight. Perhaps the main reason for this production is that many believed that tea by itself carries only 4 calories per serving, and the caffeine in tea is potent enough to increase body function to help burn more calories. Also, it is believed that the polyphenols in tea seem to aid in the digestion of fat, truly making it a Chinese diet tea.

Chinese diet tea, fasting tea, slimming tea, super dieter’s tea, weight loss tea, although they come with somewhat different names, all promote a common message – drink this tea and you will lose weight. However, many experts noted that what you are actually drinking from these products is a plant based laxative that can cause certain disorders like diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, fainting, chronic constipation and perhaps even death when consumed in excessive amounts.

Chinese Diet Recipes for Healthy Weight Loss (Journal of Chinese Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture)The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) once stressed that the laxative teas and dietary supplements of most concern are those containing one or more of the substances, such as aloe, senna, rhubarb root, buckthorn, castor oil, and cascara. These products are derived from plants and have been used since time immemorial for their ability to relieve constipation and promote bowel movements. They are deemed effective for such purposes with occasional use.

When the labeled “Chinese diet teas” are excessively used based on the misconception that frequent bowel movements prevent the absorption of calories that problems tend to occur. Numerous studies have shown that the laxative-induced diarrhea does not significantly reduce absorption of calories for the reason that laxatives don’t work in the small intestine, where the calories are absorbed. It rather works on the colon, which is the lower end of the bowel.

Also found out is that when the Chinese diet teas are misused by steeping the tea longer than product labeling recommends can lead to short as well as long term adverse condition. This is also true when the Chinese diet teas are taken more than the recommended amount.

Foojoy Wuyi Oolong (Wu Long) Weight Loss Tea 100 Tea BagsIt has been noted that for those first-time users who drank Chinese diet teas more than the recommended amount, stomach cramps, vomiting, nausea and diarrhea are the common disorders to occur and will last for several days. When these laxatives are used continually, laxative dependency will tend to develop with bouts of chronic diarrhea, abdominal pain as well as constipation. In the most severe cases, these laxatives can cause fainting, dehydration and serious electrolyte disorders. As noted, these after-effects of excessive use of Chinese diet teas are most likely to develop in people who are nutritionally compromised due to rigorous weight-loss dieting.

Because of these concerns, the FDA is now considering requiring the manufacturers of labeled “Chinese diet teas” to place warning labels on all of their product stimulant laxatives. It is also important that those who are using Chinese diet teas for any purpose must read and follow the recommended directions carefully. The words indicated on the label under “warning” must then be given attention.

Diet Foods Doesn’t Have To Be Boring

Not too long ago, my mother and I were talking about food and diets. "Your grandmother used to feed you pasta five nights a week," my mother insisted.

"She did not!" I exclaimed, stung. After all, I remembered my grandmother as a wonderfully varied cook who could make anything taste wonderful. She served all sorts of meals, not just pasta! There was spaghetti, of course - she was Italian, after all. But she also made Ziti with vegetables. And Linguine. And tuna casserole with. ..elbow macaroni. By the time I'd finished naming off a typical week's worth of menus, I had to concede my mother's point - but I made mine as well. "But... it didn't FEEL like we were eating pasta every night!"

There's a point to this story, I promise, and here it comes:

One of the biggest reasons that people slip off their diets and eating plans is BOREDOM.

It's very easy to look at the foods allowed on your diet and see it as restrictive and boring. Chicken four nights a week. Fish three times a week. Green leafy vegetables till they're coming out of your ears. Who wouldn't get bored?

The answer is - anyone with a good set of cookbooks and a healthy imagination. Perk up your cabinet with spices and fill your refrigerator with fresh fruits and vegetables, then look for novel ways to combine them.

Here are a handful of tips for non-boring, healthy, low-cal eating

1. Spice it up!

Spices are one of the quickest ways out of the diet doldrums. Rosemary and fennel with chicken, mint rubbed into pork, pepper and lemon mint on fresh fish - the 'blander' the food, the higher the effect of the spices.

2. Dress it up.

Snapdragon Passion Fruit Vinaigrette, 10.1-Ounce Bottles (Pack of 6)Fruit vinaigrette dressings make wonderful marinades for meats and dressings for warm or cold vegetables. Try broccoli drizzled with raspberry vinaigrette or cabbage spiced up with apple vinegar and pepper.

3. Herb-infused olive oils - tarragon, ginger, fennel and more.

My brother the chef gave me a set of three oils for Christmas one year and it completely changed the way I’ll cook forever!

Yamasa Soy Sauce Less Salt (Pack of 4)4. Low sodium soy sauce is a great way to flavor up just about anything.

5. Fruit

The bitterness of dark leafy greens like spinach were practically designed to be eaten with mandarin oranges, raspberries or chunks of pineapple.
